Knowing You Are Loved Can Make A Big Difference!
Ephesians Chapter 3
I would like to bring your attention towards the end of this chapter. Ephesians 3:16-21: "That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love. May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God. Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen."
Do you really know that God loves you?
Do you know that God loves you? I'm sure that you have heard that before, many times. Do you really know though? Know= to be acquainted or familiar with- to understand. Understand= to grasp the meaning of.
In verse 19, it tells us that the love of Christ passes knowledge. If you think about it, God's love for us really doesn't make sense. Why would a perfect God love us? We have sinned against Him and hurt Him with our sin. We have not always trusted Him like we should, amongst many other reasons why He shouldn't love us, yet He does. He loved us so much that He sent His Son Jesus to die a horrible death on the cross for us, pay our sin debt, and go through such pain and agony for us.
Thinking about it, it does not logically make sense. Yet, Christ loves you and me. His love cannot be measured and it passes all knowledge.
Do you know how much God loves you?
Let's look at verse 20. Not only does God's love for us pass our understanding, He loves us so much that when we ask Him, He goes way above and beyond for us. He is able to do all that we ask or even think, and then some! He loves you so much that when you go to Him, He comes through in great and mighty ways! According to the power that works in us. It's His power that works in us, which is the same power that raised Christ from the dead! Wow! That is more power than a superhero has! All we have to do to access that power is ask Christ for something or even think it and He has the power to grant that for us, of course according to His will.
The purpose is for God to get the glory. It is not us, but His power working in us.
God loves you more than you can ever imagine. You must access that love by accepting it and knowing that He loves you. It's like having money in the bank, but going hungry because you do not access that money to buy food. We have all of Christ's love for us, we just need to access it and accept it.
Looking at what He did for us on the cross is more than enough proof that He loves us. We can access that love by going to Him and knowing that even when it doesn't make sense why He loves us, it's knowing that He does. No matter what we do or don't do. No matter what He loves you! He loves you more than anything. His love has a never ending supply.
It is so easy to listen to hear and believe the Devil's lie that "no one loves you", I have listened to that lie myself in the past. It is not true. Listen to the truth of the One who gave His life for you, listen to His precious Word!
The song "Jesus Loves Me", comes to mind! "Jesus loves me, this I know... For the Bible tells me so...". Let's believe God's Word today. His love passes our knowledge and understanding. His love never runs out. He can and will do exceeding, abundantly above all that we ask or think!
What do you need to ask Him today? What are you thinking that God could do for you? What dreams and goals do you have that He can help you with? Don't be afraid to ask the Lord! He LOVES you!
